Have you tried using your Ice Cream Maker and all your recipes just turned into a very cold soupy sludge?

Don’t give up!

You could be doing something wrong by adding a certain artificial vanilla flavor that contains “Propylene Glycol”.

“Propylene Glycol” is often used in food flavorings and colorings, but also is used as antifreeze. It is often used when a non-toxic antifreeze is required.

What this means is if you use vanilla extract with “Propylene Glycol”, your ice cream premix will never solidify.

Take note!

  1. JUST GOT A NEW GOURMIA GSI170 ICE CREAM MAKER.
HOWEVER, THE TOP COVER DOES NOT LOCK DOWN WHEN THE FREEZER BOWL IS PUT INTO THE BASE.
I CALLED GOURMIA AND THEY ARE CLOSED FOR 3 WEEKS. SO I WAS HOPING SOMEONE WOULD KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS.
MY DEDUCTION IS THAT THE FREEZER BOWL IS TOO HIGH IN THE BASE, OR THE TOP COVER
    IS TOO SHORT.
WHEATHER YOU CAN GIVE ME ANY INFO. OR NOT, E-MAIL ME BACK SO I CAN CREATE A PAPER TRAIL OF MY PROBLEM. THANKS SOOOOOO MUCH. mareck76@charter.net
