Barepantrytalk YouTuber (Barbara McNab Grinage) shares her video review on the Hamilton Beach 68321Z 1.5 Quart Capacity Ice Cream Maker.
She explains that the Ice Cream Maker came with the slogan “No Salt, No Ice Needed”. And that all you have to do is to place the pre-freeze bowl overnight in the freezer.
There’s some kind of gel inside, so it solidifies and freezes up to keep the tub ice cold.
The Paddle is placed inside the top lid, where there’s a catch on the lid to hold it to it’s place securely.
She said that it looks very easy to work and she was very hopeful that this machine would work.
You’re suppose to put the lid over the main base, before you add in any ice cream premix into the bowl.
She moves on to demonstrate how to make an ice cream with the machine with a premix she had prepped earlier on the stove.
She turns the machine on and slowly pours in the premix into the open area of the lid.
She explains that she’s trying to show that this particular machine did not work.
She shares that before she tried using the machine, she was looking forward to making ice-cream and was so excited.
She says that you’re suppose to let the machine churn for about 35 to 40 minutes, till the machine stops on it’s own.
Fast forward 15 minutes, she shows that mixture is beginning to look kinda thicker. She leaves it on churning.
And finally after the required 40 minutes, the premixed batter has become watery again.
She shares that at 30 to 35 minutes, it had the looks of soft-serve ice-cream. But she left the machine on for another 10 minutes, as the instructions said to let it on until the machine stops churning.
In conclusion, she finds that her Hamilton Beach 68321Z 1.5 Quart Capacity Ice Cream Maker doesn’t work. And that she is going to take it back to the store. And that she’s really disappointed.
