Video review is by DJG fun. She’s a grandmother and has purchased the Cusinart ICE-100 about 9 months ago (May 2014) on Amazon.
In this video, she’s showing us her preparation of a basic vanilla ice-cream recipe that she’s following from the Cuisinart Recipe book.
She mentions that the Ice Cream Maker has 2 primary functions:
1. It Churns and Mixes
2. It “Gets the stuff cold”
She used to have a hand-cranked ice-cream maker that required the usage of salt and ice and manual churning. She prefers this current one much more. As it’s less of a hassle and less messy.
She loves it and has been making a few different recipes from the book for her grandkids who visits her on the weekends. And adds that it takes about 45 to 60 minutes to make a single batch.
She zooms in on the LCD panel of the machine to showcase the 3 main buttons:
1. Power : On & Off
2. Timer: 0 to 60 mins
3. Cooling/Mixing: Start & Stop
In this current video, she’s showing us the vanilla premix that has been churning in the machine for 40 minutes. It looks pretty much like ice-cream at this stage.
She had set it to be 60 minutes.
Next she shows us the additional Gelato Paddle. She had also made Gelato with it.
In addition, she shows us some topping she’s prepared in advanced to “spice things up” with a basic ice cream base such as:
1. Oreo Cookie Bits
2. Chocolate Chips
3. M&Ms
4. Broken Pieces of a Chocolate Pretzel
She switches off the machine at this stafe and shows us the finished product.
She says you can eat it straight away, or put it in the freezer if you prefer a thicker consistency.
She highly recommends this Ice Cream Maker at this end of the video review ahd adds “Easiest Ice Cream Maker, Ever!”.
