Kelli Billstein from the Cooking Club of America is doing a video demonstration and review of the Zoku Ice Cream Maker.
Kelli shares that the Zoku Ice Cream Maker makes just enough ice-cream for one serving that’s great when you have a craving and don’t want to make a large batch.
She shares that it’s “Super Easy. Low Cost and Low Tech”.
She proceeds to show us what’s in the box:
1. Inner Steel Bowl (Prefreeze for at least 12 hours in your freezer before usage)
2. Outer Plastic Bowl
3. Scraper Spoon
You’ll need to place the bowl in your freezer for at least 12 hours before you can make your ice-cream.
She moves on to prep the ice-cream premix from the recipe provided in the instruction manual.
Ingredients include:
1. Sugar
2. Heavy Whipping Cream
3. Whole Milk
4. Vanilla
5. Kosher Salt
She whisks the ice-cream base for 3 minutes and chills the mixture in the fridge.
Once the pre-frozen bowl and premix are ready, you’ll just have to pour the base into the bowl. (About 5 ounces worth)
You’ll get a soft serve consistency after a few minutes.
You can choose to harden or make it more solid, you can placing it for a couple of minutes in the freezer.
