- 1 1/2 whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 light corn syrup
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 4 tbsp cream cheese
- 1 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- Zest from 2 lemons
First she extracts the juice of 3 lemons and peeling off the skin.

- 3 tbsp of sugar
She heats up the extracted lemon juice and added sugar on the stove on medium heat to a boil.
Remove from stove. Set aside.
She moves on to make the ice cream base.
She adds 1 1/2 cup whole milk and 1/2 cup heavy cream to a clean, stainless steel bowl.
And 1/4 cup light corn syrup
Next, she adds the lemon skin or zest that she had prepared earlier.
She mixes them well with 2/3 cup sugar.
She boils the mixture via medium heat and lets it cool for 15 minutes.
She prepares a mixture: by mixing 2 tbsp of cornstarch and milk together.
Make sure to reboil the mixture before adding in the corn starch. Add the cornstarch mixture to the bowl on the stove.
In a new bowl, add in 4 tbsp cream cheese.
Sieve out the lemon zest and add in the mixture from the stove to the cream cheese.
And adds in the lemon syrup.
And cool the mixture to room temperature and leave it in the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours.
She’s using theKitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Stand Mixer to chill and churn the ice cream mixture. But you can use any ice-cream maker that you have.
Pour the chilled mixture into the ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions on churning.
